We envision state and nationwide programs in assisting those in need. We want to give formerly incarcerated, homeless men the resources and opportunities to better themselves. Our goal is to teach them to take personal responsibility for their families, for society, and more importantly, for themselves. We will provide a safe haven and a place of refuge to meet the needs of all our clients. We also strongly envision a program where the human rights of our clients and victims are honored, taxpayers concerns are respected, and the spiraling coasts of ineffective incarcerations are reduced. Putting a man in treatment will save $25,000 a year for each man instead of housing him in prison. It will reduce the recidivism rate by providing the needed tools for successful re-entry into society.

The Harriet Tubman Safe House Inc., Re-entry Program will provide the necessary referrals, services and resources, which include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Emergency Housing

• Mental Health with WHW Treatment Services

     (one-on-one counseling)**Required\

• Transportation

• Faith Based Services i.e.(attend weekly church services and Bible Studies) **Required

• Community Service i.e. (snow removal, yard work and Community clean-up)** Required

• Life Skills

• Mentoring

• Referrals to Drug and Alcohol Treatment

• Resources for Employment

• Paralegal Services

• Community Social Services i.e. (referrals for food, clothes and other needed services)

For successful re-entry, our hope is that these citizens and members of our community will thrive to lead productive lives. Our clients will obtain the necessary documents needed for employment, education, permanent housing, and community integration.

If you know of anyone locked up anywhere, all you have to do is supply me with their name, prison number and the address of where they are incarcerated and I will write them to see if I can be of service to them.

Also, if you know of anyone who has a drug problem have them contact my office. I can get them into a FREE Treatment Program somewhere in the United States.

Our main house functions as the office and houses a few clients. We have another house across the street that is currently under renovation that will house several more clients. It will offer more room and a family environment. A picture of the house is shown on our main page.

If you would like to contribute to the renovation of the house or to Animal Activists or any one of our other affiliates we would be most appreciative. We accept gift cards, stamps, or you can contribute through Pay Pal.
